A Guru asks the disciples to fill the glass bottle with cricket balls. They filled it before him and said it is full. Then the Guru filled it with pebbles by shaking the bottle. Again they said it became full. Then again the Guru filled the bottle with sand. This time they were sure that the bottle was full. Now the Guru again filled the bottle with milk and started telling them this is what human life is. If this glass bottle is life, then the cricket balls in it are the primary goals of human life. They are husband/wife, children, and personal achievement of a purpose. You can guess what secondary, which is pebbles, is: job, truthfulness towards your duty, social work.
Unnecessary dealings/work and bad habits is compared with sand. Though this is not necessary, many of us emphasize mostly on it. Now for suppose, we fill the glass bottle first with sand and then with cricket balls and pebbles, our priority will be more on what is not required and then automatically we fail in our life. So, setting priorities is very important.
A disciple asked the Guru then what about milk in the glass bottle. Guru says how much ever busy people are with any work, there will be some time left out. And not finding time few minutes with God/inner self means not finding time for self growth. So, if we evaluate time/space for every work, automatically we will become successful people.

Just learnt the true meaning of Guru. The term Guru means One who can drive away the darkness of ignorance and reveal the light of God within. That means, Gu - ignorance, Ru - destroyer.
