Lavender Oil is widely used for nerves, migraines, headaches, tension, emotional stress, sore muscles or tense muscles. It promotes relaxation. Other uses include benefits for the skin, immune and circulatory systems. It even wards off mosquitoes. It has a healing effect on the skin too.

Rosemary oil can be used in bath or for face, body or scalp massage. It conditions dry and flaky scalps and stimulates hair growth. It even helps in clearing dandruff and darkens grey hair.

Geranium oil helps to create balance between oily and dry skin. It can also be used as a mosquito repellant, herbal skin cream, anti-stress oil. It even heals wounds.

Teatree oil heals skin cuts, burns, and infections. It even helps in reducing dandruff and skin related problems. It promotes the growth and repair of healthy tissue, which lessens the chance of scarring.

Coconut oil is an excellent skin moisturiser and a hair conditioner. It softens the hair and conditions the scalp. It can be used as a pre-wash conditioner to get rid of dandruff. It is antiviral, antifungal and antibacterial and provides protection from damaging effects of ultraviolet radiation from the sun.

Almond oil is great for nourishing extremely dry hair and the skin. It is non-greasy and spreads easily.

Cedarwood oil helps prevent and cure acne, dandruff, greasy skin, hair loss and dermatitis. It is a powerful antiseptic.

Lemon oil cleans greasy skin and hair, as well as removes dead skin cells. It works well for a treatment for dry scalp, dandruff, lice.

Curryleaves oil prevents premature greying of hair. When the leaves are boiled in coconut oil till they are reduced to a blackened residue, the oil forms an excellent hair tonic to stimulate hair growth and in retaining the natural pigmentation.

Basil oil promotes growth by stimulating circulation. Helps for healthy hair.

Bay leaf oil strengthens hair and combats hair loss.

Food to eat (for hair) :

Eggs, mango, liver, dark green leafy vegetables, carrots, dried apricots, whole grain cereals, peas, nuts, soyabean, paneer, sprouted pulses, curd, milk, fresh fruits, kabuli chana(black gram), chinese cabbage, fish, bajra, almond and last but not least drink 12 to 14 glass of water per day.

Zinc and essential fatty acids guard against dandruff and dry scalp. The hair and scalp should be clean so as to minimise the accumulation of the dead cells. The hair should be brushed daily to improve the circulation and remove any flakiness. The scalp should be thoroughly massaged every day.

dr@ma div@ : thanks. Bay leaf is tejpatta. I think u know Hindi, right? But do consult a dermatologist before applying the same. I just collected the information which is useful for me and for everyone. It is just to know for what is what. That's all.
From now, will try to be a regular blogger. Just got busy with house work.
