From past few days, I had a question pondering in my mind, the difference between Self-realization and Devotion. And, this went out with a series of thoughts. I personally feel devotion comes with love and when true to the self. And, this can be towards the work we do or even towards God. And, Self-realization is an analysis of what are we and the direction we are moving to. But still, is there any connection between both? Yes, devotion leads to self-realization and vice-versa. Our commitment with love towards anything tells us what we are and that is self-realization. When we correct ourselves by moving towards the right path, we are becoming true to our Self and will start doing anything with devotion. Now, I think, I got my answer.... :). If any, do post your views too.

so true :)
I would rather self-realize myself!! Not into God too much but not a complete atheist either! I do my job to the best of my abilities, so I can put this life to use!:)
I agree with you dear...
Same elan, same thoughts, same lady, nothing changed in one year...as usual...wisdom after wisdom...good to see that ur words are still oozing like before...even better!! yes devotion and love both r symbiotic.just check my blog, though i donot have habit of sayiing this, but den i donot have even habit of commenting also.

devotion is a medium to ease the the process of self-relization, if we want to achieve it. Self realization bares all - the truth we enact, the lies we speak, the friends we desert, the oppoutunism we go for and love we hurt or seek. Self realisation one day will lead to self actualisation. My interpretation.
Good one Kaplz.
**, devotion leads to self-realization and vice-versa.
however I dun think that Devotion always leads to Self-realisation. Cos some ppl carry a false sense of devotion too...
